Step into a breathtaking and emotionally crushing landscape of imperial court intrigue and tragic romance with The Forgotten Field. Born from an illicit affair, Princess Thalia Roem Gürta has spent her entire life surrounded by the quiet cruelty of indifferent parents, hostile half-siblings, and resentful servants. To survive this toxic existence, she wraps herself in defensive thorns, shutting out the world. Yet, her fierce walls crumble entirely in the presence of Prince Varkas Raedgo Sheerkan, the heir to the Grand Duke and a man bound by rigid duty. Varkas has lived a life stripped of emotion, conditioned through abusive discipline to serve solely as an imperial retainer. When a binding promise to the late Empress forces Varkas into a political marriage with Thalia's half-sister Ayla, Thalia's fragile world shatters into absolute despair, setting the stage for a heart-wrenching descent.

Amidst the ruins of unrequited longing and suffocating societal expectations, Thalia's desperate wish for her forbidden love to wither away takes an unexpected and turbulent turn. The central conflict explores the agonizing boundaries between duty, self-preservation, and a passion so consuming it threatens to destroy them both. Fans of dark fantasy romance and complex emotional turmoil will find themselves utterly captivated by the psychological depth of the characters, the oppressive yet stunning royal atmosphere, and the slow-burn agony that defines every chapter of this unforgettable journey.

Thalia Roem Gürta stands at the center of the narrative as an unloved princess fighting her own psychological battles, whose sharp exterior hides a devastating vulnerability when it comes to the man she loves. Varkas Raedgo Sheerkan serves as the emotional anchor and tragic counterpart, a man who knows only duty and suppression, making his entanglement with Thalia and her sister a recipe for devastating conflict. Ayla, Thalia's half-sister and Varkas's bride, introduces the ultimate wedge of jealousy and political obligation, driving the wedge deeper into Thalia's fractured psyche.
